Who is Melissa Murgo?
After graduation, Melissa worked as a legislative assistant at the Massachusetts House of Representatives and has to her credit more than seven years of public service experience to the people of the Commonwealth. In addition to carrying a full course of study and a job throughout her years in college Melissa found time to serve her community as a volunteer at Rock the Vote, Suburban Elderly Service, AIDS Awareness on BC Campus, the American Cancer Society, Boston College’s First Year Experience Greeter, and Read Boston.
Melissa demonstrated her leadership abilities even during her high school years. While serving as President of her class throughout all four years, she organized and executed programs to raise funds for class projects. In addition, she was active in school sports, served on the staff of the school newspaper, yearbook, and student government and managed to find time to volunteer as a teacher aide, serve meals at the Mustard Seed, and raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Melissa prides herself in being a lifelong Democrat and seeks to serve her party and her constituents with the same enthusiasm and tireless energy with which she embraces all of her endeavors. |
